Elections are held at the Forest Town Hall (3625 Millersburg Boulevard, Faribault, MN 55021).

When are elections?
Federal, State, and City Elections are held in even years every two years.
- Primary Elections are the second Tuesday in August.
- General Elections are on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November
2025 Election Schedule and Information:
- March 11, 2025, Forest Township Election
Township Elections are held annually on the second Tuesday in March following the Forest Township Annual Meeting. The 2025 Annual Meeting will be held at on Tuesday, March 11 at 1:00 pm at the Forest Town Hall. The Forest Township Election will commence immediately after the Annual Meeting. Polls will be open from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
Town office to be elected on March 11, 2025: One supervisor seat for a term of 3 years.
Candidates for town board must:
• Be eligible to vote in Minnesota
• Not have filed for another office in the upcoming primary or general election
• Be 21 years or more upon assuming office
• Have maintained residence in their district for at least 30 days before the general election
Candidates must file an affidavit of candidacy with the town clerk. The first day for filing affidavits of candidacy will be Tuesday, December 31, 2024. The last day will be Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Contact the town clerk at foresttwpclerk@gmail.com to file an affidavit of candidacy. In addition to completing an affidavit for candidacy, candidates must pay a $2 filing fee.

You can also vote by mail using an absentee ballot. To request an absentee ballot, complete and return the application below to your county election office by mail, fax or email.
